Kathy Shaw
Shaw Life Counselling and Training
Welcome — I'm Kathy Shaw, an integrative therapist and clinical supervisor registered with the BACP. I work as both a counsellor and a therapist, providing supportive counselling as well as therapeutic interventions depending on the client's needs.
I offer a calm, supportive space where we can explore what’s going on beneath the surface and begin to make sense of the patterns that may be keeping you stuck.
My aim is to help you feel mentally lighter by addressing the root causes of your struggles — not just the symptoms.
My approach is trauma-informed and depth-focused, creating a safe space where thoughts, emotions and patterns can be explored gently and with curiosity. Together we work to:

Leanne Astbury
Mind Your Future
Cognitive Behavioural Coach
I’m Leanne Astbury, a Psychotherapist dedicated to guiding you beyond symptom management to uncover and address the real reasons behind your challenges.
Drawing from my personal experiences and years of helping others, I’ve come to understand that issues like anxiety, depression, perfectionism, overthinking, worry, and stress are not the real problems—they’re just symptoms. To achieve lasting results, we must focus on addressing the root causes, not just treating these symptoms.
As a therapist, my priority is to support individuals in recognising and tackling the root causes of their challenges, for life changing outcomes.

... a place to be heard
I'm Jen, a person-centred counsellor working with adults from Northwich Town Centre, Cheshire as well as remotely from anywhere in the UK.
I work with many different issues and have extensive experience of working with issues surrounding domestic violence, sexual abuse, historic childhood abuse, suicidal thoughts and feelings, PTSD, and self harm. I offer individual therapy as well as couples therapy.
As well as my private work, I also volunteer for an organisation providing counselling to survivors of abuse, predominently childhood sexual abuse.
I am fully insured, registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psycotherapy (BACP), and have a clear enhanced DBS Certificate.

Gordon Worswick
Tranquil Oak
Hi, my name is Gordon. I'm a psychotherapist working in private practice based in the Northwest of England.
My clients often ask about different mental health problems and which resources may be useful for them to use. I created this site to provide them an easy place to come to find the information they are interested in.
I am classically trained in Humanistic therapies but have experience in a wide range of other techniques including CBT, Creative therapies and Compassion based therapies.

Lucy Parker
Hi, I’m Lucy. I’m a person-centred counsellor with eight years of experience working within Adult Mental Health Services prior to qualifying as a counsellor. I offer a warm, safe space to anyone who feels they need room to explore where they are in life and to work alongside you while you process any historical or current challenges or issues you may be experiencing.
I provide a non-judgemental environment, where support will be offered to you as we explore together anything which may feel too overwhelming to face on your own. As a person-centred counsellor I am fully committed to the belief we are all the experts in our own world, however, that doesn’t mean we have to navigate those worlds alone, and hopefully, I can ease that feeling for you, supporting you on your journey.
I work with anyone aged 18+, offering both face-to-face work and online or telephone remote sessions if this is more accessible for you.

Tumay Nicholls
the change in you
Hi, I’m Tumay. I am an EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) practitioner.
I work with women who feel stuck, overwhelmed, and unable to move on from past traumas and negative beliefs—whether those beliefs are self-imposed or given to them by others. Maybe you see yourself as shy, easily overwhelmed, resistant to change, and scared to take the first step on your own. Perhaps you often struggle with self-acceptance and fear of change, feeling uncertain about how to begin. Through gentle, empowering healing techniques like EFT, I can help you release emotional blocks, rewrite limiting beliefs, and rediscover your inner strength to create a more balanced, authentic life.
We will use talk therapy combined with the body's meridian system to reprogram the brain. By tapping on acupuncture points while addressing your issues, you can heal from traumas and adopt positive beliefs and behaviour patterns.
